    Description

    Must haves:

    • 5-7 years of experience as either a super or an APM, can also be a project engineer

    Preferably coming from a GC with a focus on electrical or mechanical builds- needs to be commercial at the least

    Project scope:

    • A client of Insight Global is hiring for a project manager & an assistant project manager to manage the instillation of a new fitting at the EV Battery Plant in Woodruff, SC. This plant is being built to manufacture electrical vehicle car batteries. The PM & APM will be onsite with the subcontractors supervising & managing the projects installation & overall completion. They're onsite to provide an extra layer of support for BMW to ensure that the project is being done: 1.) correctly but also 2.) on time. You will be the middle man between the subcontractors onsite and the client. The ideal candidate comes from a mechanical/electrical background due to the fact that they have to be able to determine if the installations are being put in properly. Don't need to come from a specific manufacturing background but it would be most ideal

    Day to day:

    • Issue weekly reports regarding the equipment install progress as it compares to the construction schedule, with explanations of reason for any variances.
    • Report to identify delays or potential issues related to the base building milestone schedule and provide recommendations to resolve which best represent the best interests of the company
    • Provide monthly project status report, outlining what has been completed per the timeline and major milestones and highlight all items at risk.
    • Coordinate with the equipment installer's team any changes requested by Ford and promptly report any impacts on budget and schedule.
    • Support review of change orders proposed by the equipment installer or engineer and make
    • recommendations to Ford regarding approval. This will be the responsibility of the Atkins Realis estimating and purchasing support.
    • Support GC's punch list management by contractor and facilitate interface with owner.
    • Report of work done incorrectly and follow up on items to completion. If an item creates a delay, identify the impact to overall project timeline.
    • Manage installation completion and coordinate with general contractor on handover and documentation.
    • Oversee the resolution of claims relating to the equipment install of the project following final completion
