    School Nurse : RNorLPN
    Procare Therapy staffing is currently seeking apart-time nurse for a contractpositionwith a school in Charlotte, NC for the new 2024/25 school year Thisis an amazing school districtwith tons ofsupport and wonderfulcolleagues.     Job Type:

    • Onsite
    • Part -Time 20 hours week
    • 5 days week preferred
    • 9am-1pm
    • New 2024/25School Year
    • K-8th caseload

    Qualifications:

    • Associates / Bachelorlevel degree in Nursing
    • Current and Active StateCertificates
    • Accepting New Graduates
    • Drug Screen and Background checkrequired

    Duties
    Communicate effectively and appropriately in both oral and written form;
    Observe special education student(s) on a regular basis to detect needs
    Act as a support and resource for student(s) in classroom setting;
    Attend monthly nursing meetings;
    Assist with all academic and vocational programming;
    Assist with activities of daily living;
    Report to the campus nurse regarding all medical issues;
    Provide medical care for children in educational setting;
    Administer medication and treatment as outlined by health care plan/IEP;
    Assist with student feeding;
    Make recommendations on health needs of students;
    Ability to utilize technological devices or mechanical devices to support student (i.e. communication devices, AAC devices, hoyer lifts, standers, wheelchairs, etc.);
    Conduct student health screenings as indicated;
    Assist in the care of a student who suffered an injury or emergency illness;
