    JOB SUMMARY

    The IT Support Technician provides a resource for end users to receive support and maintenance. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and software to enable ministries with technology.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
    • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
    DUTIES/PRIMARY JOB PRODUCTS
    • Timely and appropriate resolutions of helpdesk requests
    • Timely and efficient deployment of new hardware workstations, notebooks, check-in systems, mobile devices, and other accessories
    • Performance of regular computer maintenance, program updates, repairs and troubleshooting as needed.
    • Perform other duties as required.
    • Job description is subject to change based on the organization/department's needs.
    INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS
    • This position reports directly to: IT Systems Manager
    • Serve under the general oversight of the IT Director (CIO) and report to the IT Systems Manager
    • Participate as member of the IT staff and attend applicable meetings and required special events.
    • Will be fully engaged in the ministry of TPCC.
    • Collaborate with the IT Team as needed.
    • Collaborate with all TPCC Teams, including volunteers as needed.
    • Provide IT support as needed to all TPCC ministries and guests, escalating as appropriate through the proper channels.
    REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
    • Up-to-date knowledge of current technologies and trends relevant to TPCC needs and proficient hardware upkeep, software usage, and systems maintenance, including:
      • PC Hardware
      • Apple Hardware
      • Windows Operating Systems
      • Apple Operating Systems
      • Microsoft products (including Office 365)
      • Mobile products
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Working in a team environment
    PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
    • Writing and producing training materials and guides
    • Technical experience beyond Tier 1 support, including network administration skills
    • Troubleshooting and management of the following systems:
      • Rock RMS
      • Physical Networking
      • Desk equipment (docks, phones, monitors)
    • Inventory management
    • Time management skills
    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
    • High school Diploma or equivalent
    • At least 1 year of documented experience or education in IT systems/troubleshooting
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENTS
    • Lifting up to 50lbs
    • Significant time viewing screens
    • Manipulating materials in tight places
    • Occasional extended periods standing
    • Use of ladders and lifts

    Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt

    Full or Part-Time: Full Time

    Work Schedule: Position includes regular weekend rotation and occasions when it will be necessary to work evenings. In these cases, every effort will be made to adjust hours during the week to assure that the total hours worked are no more than 40 hours per week.
