    About the RoleThe Fleet Charging Infrastructure Specialist will play a critical role in delivering innovative fleet charging solutions for truCurrents customers.

    We are seeking a candidate who has experience working with large enterprises to deploy on-site fleet chargers to power their medium- and heavy-duty (MHD) truck fleets.

    The ideal candidate will bring a comprehensive approach to fleet electrification, including systems modeling, electrical power infrastructure and control system specification, project management, and post-deployment instructional training.

    This position will be pivotal in fleet charging solution selection and optimization and will engage with truCurrents customers to effectively reflect project requirements, orchestrate charger commissioning, and monitor, analyze, and report on uptime and performance metrics to meet operational goals.

    ResponsibilitiesAnalyze customer sites to identify installation locations and optimal EVSE products based on market trends, regulations, utility readiness, load analysis, customer needs, and futureproofing considerationsDevelop and implement EVSE project execution procedures, key performance indicators (KPIs), and best practices for on-time and on-budget deployment, delivery, and performance, generating regular reports for leadership, highlighting KPIs and areas for improvementCollaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute the initial deployment and expansion of EVSE projects, coordinating with internal and external technical teams to promptly address and resolve any deployment or operational issues, ensuring uptime and performance requirements are metSupport the development teams engagements with utilities and other Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to obtain necessary permits for implementing EVSE projects and/or electrical upgrades to support site reliability and uptime, often in concert with solar photovoltaic (PV), battery energy storage system (BESS), and grid services considerationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field; master's degree is preferred2+ years' experience with MHD EV charging infrastructure modeling, specifying equipment, interconnection, and operationsWorking knowledge of EV-related standards (UL, California codes, NEC/NFPA, IEC EV Comms/OCPP)Ability to troubleshoot technical aspects of hardware and software commissioning and operationsPrior experience designing charging for electric fleets based on vehicle usage patterns, route profiles, vehicle battery capacity and charging specifications, and dwell time to maximize EVSE utilization and minimize EV downtimeExcellent project management skills with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple complex projects simultaneouslyStrong attention to detail and time management skillsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with education and experienceBonus compensation planEquity option award401(k) plan with company matchHealth, dental, and vision benefits planCareer and professional developmentHybrid work environmentAdditional InformationtruCurrent and Distributed Sun are equal opportunity employers.
