Best Pets Veterinary Hospital is a successful, medium-sized animal hospital in Tewksbury, MA. We are looking for a Lead Receptionist to join our team of funny, talented, and forward thinking Veterinary professionals. Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, organized, and personable Lead Receptionist to oversee our front desk operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading a team, and is passionate about delivering excellent client service. The position could also include areas of Social media, Marketing or Sales opportunities We believe this position represents the first impression and heart of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Front Desk towards our goal of "Concierge level" service
- Contribute to our business's success
- Supervise, train, and mentor reception team members
- Lead team meetings and support a positive workplace culture
- Greet clients and patients warmly and professionally
- Answer phones, texts & emails and manage appointment scheduling
- Address client concerns with empathy and efficiency
- Maintain clear communication between Front Desk, Clients and Medical staff
- Optimize use of PIMS application and related applications

Work environment
Schedule includes some weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. Must have excellent computer and interpersonal skills. Work with our team of 4 other Receptionists where you will be working with the most modern cloud-based practice software. We also have the latest direct texting and automated scheduling technology to reduce call volume so you can focus on relationships with our clients.

Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a veterinary or medical office setting (veterinary preferred)
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with veterinary practice management software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
