    Job Description

    Job DescriptionAxiom Maintenance Services is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional.
    Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must also possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.

    Maintenance Worker Job Responsibilities:

    • Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment.
    • Handles necessary repairs and maintenance.
    • Installs equipment and appliances.
    • Follows local and state building codes.
    • Complies with all company safety regulations.
    • Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports.
    • Reports any issues to the maintenance manager or clients.
    • Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
    • Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles if needed.
    • Follows written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manageror clients.
    • Collaborates with the maintenance team and contractors as needed.
    • Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.
    • Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, andplumbing tools.
    • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance across multiple properties
    • Perform repairs, installations of fixtures and appliances, andreplacement of damaged systems
    • Diagnose and repair problems with building heat, electricity, and watersystems
    Be on-call to respond to emergency issues
    Maintenance Worker Qualifications and Skills:

    • Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending,pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
    • Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects throughout the workday
    • Communicates effectively.
    • Collaborates with maintenance workers, maintenance managers, and contractors.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • At least two years of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is required.
    • A certification in building maintenance is a plus.
    • Must have a driver's license and a clean driving record.
    • High school diploma or GED certificate

    They are also willing to put in initiative when needed, like fixing things they see in need of repair before it becomes a major concern.
