- Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence for use in state and federal court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
- Draft and respond to complex discovery requests.
- Confer, negotiate, and communicate with opposing counsel.
- Prepare for, defend, and conduct depositions.
- Prepare for trial, including preparing exhibit lists, evidentiary objections, motions in limine, and witness preparation.
- Supervise and train junior associates.
- 6-8 years of patent litigation experience.
- Significant experience with drafting and responding to pleadings.
- Experience preparing infringement and invalidity claim charts.
- Experience with Markman and claim construction proceedings.
- Experience with patent-specific fact and expert discovery.
- Experience with inter partes reviews and overall litigation strategy.
- USPTO admission.
- Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or substantial experience litigating matters in these or similar disciplines.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Superb judgment and communication skills.
