Backyard Conceptual Design – Outdoor Kitchen

Job description
We are seeking an architect or landscape architect to develop a visual conceptual design package for a residential backyard renovation (~1,000 sq ft rectangular yard, full sun exposure, east-facing short side).
This phase is strictly for concept development and visualization, not construction drawings.The backyard will serve as:
A primary entertainment space for gatherings of 10–15 people
A comfortable daily-use area for family
A visually cohesive extension of the home
Keeping green part for play, trees and dog.
The focal point will be a covered outdoor kitchen structure integrated with thoughtful landscaping and circulation.
The conceptual design must include:
- Optimal outdoor kitchen placement based on sun exposure and flow
- Covered outdoor kitchen structure design (form + footprint)
- Integrated lighting concept for the covered structure
- Outdoor fan placement strategy for ventilation and comfort
- Outdoor TV placement strategy for entertaiment
- Tree placement strategy (new trees and/or enhancement)
- Walkway concept from side entry to patio (if appropriate)
We are specifically looking for a visual conceptual package, suitable for a non-architect homeowner to clearly understand scale and spatial relationships.
Deliverables should include:
Scaled conceptual site plan (2D layout), Basic 3D massing model, Minimum of 2 perspective views (eye-level visualizations)
Photorealistic renderings are not required, but appreciated.
No structural engineering or permit-ready drawings are needed at this stage.

Objective
The goal is to define a strong, climate-appropriate concept that can later be developed into detailed architectural and construction documents.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months.
