Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor

Whitney Rehabilitation Care Center has been providing excellent care to the community for over 50 years.

Privately owned and operated, we offer short and long term skilled nursing care and rehabilitation as well as outpatient therapy.

Whitney Rehabilitation Care Center has been given a 5 Star rating for Quality Measures by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

We are charter members of the Yale Preferred Provider Post-Acute Care Network and recognized as a Tier 1 provider for Hartford Healthcare.

Shift details: 3p-11p Part-Time, every other weekend 7 am-3 pm.

Position Summary

Whitney Rehabilitation Care Center is seeking a qualified Nursing Supervisor to oversee patients and manage the nursing team of our facility.

Our ideal candidate has solid experience as a Registered Nurse and can handle stressful situations. This position requires team management skills and a problem-solving attitude.

Pay:
starting at $46/hr (including shift diff) *willing to pay more for experience

Responsibilities of the RN Supervisor:
Ensure nursing operational standards are met
Ensure all nurses follow policies and procedures
Oversee training of new team members
Evaluate nurses performance
Inform family members about medical procedures and doctors instructions
Handle complaints or other issues
Establish a compassionate environment by providing psychological support to patients, family and friends

Requirements of the RN Supervisor:
Some work experience as a nursing supervisor required
Team management skills
Great communication and people skills
Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
Organizational and problem-solving skills
Current unencumbered CT nursing license

Must be vaccinated for Covid 19.
