    The Opportunity:

    A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable Booz Allen's clients to achieve their missions, but how can an organization make sure their network will fit their current and evolving needs? Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires a combination of technical skill and careful planning. That's why we need you, a network engineer who knows how to develop the exact network DoD needs.

    As a network engineer on our team, you'll use your skills in network design and configuration, system interoperability, routing and switching protocols, and cloud computing to help support the nation's defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You'll support Booz Allen and client-led teams in designing and implementing advanced data networks to increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. Your knowledge of network technologies, best practices, and system design will help you contribute to your teams as we aid our clients' efforts to optimize network and IT operations and modernize their infrastructure. Using your experience in network security and management systems, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects. Using your technical curiosity and knowledge of industry standards, you'll make an impact on national security.

    You Have:

    • 6+ years of experience in network engineering or administration
    • Experience with routing and switching protocols, including OSPF, LACP, VTP, and NAT
    • Ability to obtain a security clearance
    • HS diploma or GED
    • Security+ Certification

    Nice If You Have:

    • Top Secret clearance
    • Associate's degree in Technology, IT, or Computer Science
    • CCNA, VCP, AWC or Azure Certification

    Clearance:

    Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137, annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
