    Beam Suntory currently has the following position open with preferred location in our New York City Headquarters: Director, Global Commercial Excellence Strategy.

    This position will serve as the strategic advisor for the Global Commercial Excellence Officer and will report to the Senior Director, International Strategy. This role will also have significant exposure to senior commercial leaders across the globe.

    Role Responsibilities


    Key responsibilities of the Director, Global Commercial Excellence Strategy include:

    Strategy Development:

    • Develop long-term Global Commercial Excellence strategy roadmap, building upon key initiatives and developing new ones to ensure Beam shows up in the right places, in the right way
    • Lead high priority strategic projects supporting broader Commercial Excellence team members (e.g., accelerating on-premise execution, establishing outlet standards, improving connectivity between sales and marketing across key markets)
    • Engage with senior commercial leaders across the globe to identify best practices, determining which elements should be universally consistent versus market-specific
    • Evaluate and develop recommendations to improve effectiveness of our market execution strategies, inclusive of developing & deploying digital tools and applications (in conjunction with the Global Digital organization)
    • Develop storyboards and presentations for each of the above projects, adapting for varying levels within the organization (e.g., sales team vs. RTCE council vs. executive leadership)

    Strategy Execution and Program Management:

    • Enable the translation of strategy into execution
    • Monitor progress of key deliverables across markets to ensure roadmap implementation is on track
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of key strategic sales initiatives with regular reporting to senior leadership

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Collaborate closely with Commercial leaders within key markets, Global Commercial Excellence team and other cross functional counterparts to ensure quality of recommendations and successful implementations
    • Facilitate best practice sharing across markets
    • Support RTCE council meetings through the development of agendas and presentation content development
    • Collaborate closely with IT and digital teams to enhance commercial enablement tools

    Qualifications


    Education: Bachelors Degree required; MBA strongly preferred
    Experience:

    • 8+ years professional experience with a minimum of 3 years of graduating experience in a top tier management consulting or corporate strategy role as well as commercial strategy, commercial excellence, or sales role experience
    • CPG experience preferred

    Financial Acumen: Understanding of P&L and ROI basics
    Project/Process Management: Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish
    Presentation Effectiveness: Ability to translate insights into structured presentations that highlight key takeaways; Ability to present effectively to senior audiences

    Stakeholder Management: Ability to see situations and anticipate reactions from multiple stakeholders and perspectives, crafting communications and leading discussions in a thoughtful manner that has the appropriate detail for the audience/stakeholders

    An expected salary range for this position is $160,000 - $210,000 USD.
