    THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO LIST ALL OF THE DUTIES THAT ARE OR MAY BE PERFORMED IN THIS POSITIONPrimary Duties1.Directs and oversees all aspects of SOC operations, ensuring effective monitoring, detection, and response to security incidents.

    2.Develops and executes long-term security strategies that align with organizational objectives and enhance SOC capabilities.3.Trains, guides, and manages a team of security analysts to foster a collaborative and skilled workforce.4.Sets clear performance goals and priorities for the SOC, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational objectives.5.Oversees the allocation and optimization of SOC tools and resources, including budget management responsibilities.6.Ensures that SOC operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, such as SOX and PCI.7.Leads the SOC's incident response efforts, including strategy development and execution during security breaches.8.Assesses and integrates new security technologies to enhance SOC operational capabilities.9.Develops and reports key SOC metrics to measure effectiveness, efficiency, and return on investment.10.Acts as the primary point of contact for all security incidents and regularly report SOC performance and security issues to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO).11.

    Engages with external stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and industry groups, to stay informed on security trends and solutions.12. Implements career development plans and succession planning within the SOC to ensure talent retention and development.


    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & SKILLSEducational/Experience Level:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Business or a closely related field and six years of professional related experience in supervising computer operations in a midrange or mainframe environment, technical support, security administration and/or computer programming and analysis; or equivalent

    Communication Skills:
    Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or modifications on technical or other complex concepts to individuals with little or no background in the area under discussion


    Numeric Skills:
    Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods


    Computer Skills:
    Requires advanced knowledge of various software applications for creating documents, reports and/or graphics


    Work Conditions:
    Works in an office environment. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
