    The American Angus Association is seeking candidates for a

    Business Relations Manager

    for Angus Productions Inc. (Angus Media). We're seeking an outgoing, team-oriented, self-starter to lead our interaction with the industry partners. Primarily a sales role, this position will serve as our main Angus liaison with corporate clients and partners.

    The relations manager will connect potential advertisers and sponsors with opportunities to reach and interact with our exclusive Angus audience, along with ideating new ways for partners to get involved.

    Teamwork among all Angus entities and experience in sales is a must. Remote work options are offered for this position based on experience level of the applicant.

    ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

    include, but are not limited to the following:

    Ability to make new relationships and develop existing ones, being able to represent our cattlemen audience to corporate clients.
    Must be an effective communicator, willing to work with multiple different communication styles.

    Must be eager to learn current products available — everything from traditional print and tradeshow sponsorships to a multitude of digital and new media formats — as well the desire to brainstorm new opportunities.

    Understand analytics and how to use them as a sales tool.
    Bring creative ideas for curating new leads and develop a system for tracking and follow-up with leads.
    Working closely and communicating effectively with marketing specialists.
    Experience in working with agencies (creating RFPs, etc.).Experience in customer database management.
    Assist with securing tradeshow and convention sponsorships.
    Other duties as assigned.


    REQUIREMENTS:
    Excellent communication skills, including telephone, written and presentation skills.
    Ability to organize, prioritize and execute multiple activities simultaneously.
    Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
    Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to listen.
    Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    Must have exceptional organizational skills.
    Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
    Must be reliable and dependable.
    A positive attitude and a willingness to learn is a must.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    Bachelor's degree in Business or Agricultural Science, or equivalent work experience.

    Industry work experience with a breed association, publication, sales and marketing or customer service is a plus, but not required.

    An agricultural or beef background is preferred, but not required.
    Proven sales experience necessaryTRAVEL

    Travel of 40-50% is expected for this position, sometimes over weekends, varying by season.
