- Responsible for intake functions for pre-admission, review of admission criteria and admission of patients with medical needs.
- Builds personal and trusting relationships with referral sources and department personnel.
- Maximizes clinical data collection to support the most appropriate MSDRG by utilizing knowledge of admission criteria, DRGs, utilization management and HIM coding.
- Requires good organizational, time management and communication skills.
- Requires the ability to work independently and to prioritize responsibilities.
- Experience in third part reimbursement, DRGs, coding and PPS reimbursement is preferred.
- Behavioral health experience is preferred.
- Current state RN, LMFT, LPC or LMSW licensure is preferred.
- BLS certification is required upon hire.
- De-escalation training is required within 30 days of hire.
