- Provide engineering support and project management for capital projects and major repair projects.
- Create, maintain and keep current documentation and electronic versions of all electrical and schematics including panel layouts, PLC programs.
- Provide expertise in PLC Control Systems and Programming in the development and troubleshooting of Electrical and Automation Control Systems.
- Design circuit and layout drawings of control and power panels
- Coordinate with engineering and shop personnel on existing machine control modifications to robotic and electrical systems.
- Develop further knowledge and skills in the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, and LEAN principles.
- Assist in training the shop personnel and assisting them in checking or trouble shooting equipment as required.
- Coordinate project installations with Maintenance and contractors.
- Participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide the necessary solutions to eliminate root causes.
- Inspecting electrical components during and after the product installation
- Bachelor of Science Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
- With a minimum of 12 years working experience in the Electrical Engineering field
- Experience in the design and operation of high-speed manufacturing and converting equipment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and activities in parallel and drive them to achieve the intended results.
- Ability to discuss technical issues in a business environment.
- Knowledge of Siemens controls required.
- Knowledge/Experience with equipment used in the production of non-woven fiberglass-based materials or paper industry is a plus.

- Develop all training documentation for engineering positions.
- Summarize data and report on test results.
- Be part of the building team connecting the maintenance documentation to the specific machine manufacturer recommendations, i.e., how to maintain the equipment, etc.
- Monitor maintenance and inspection plans.
- Design Maintenance department layout to include the storeroom.

Job Description
The purpose of this job is to lead the engineering department in Chester, South Carolina. The plant will be a new greenfield plant, which is targeted to start up Q1-Q2 of 2025. This position will be part of the operational readiness team while the plant is being built and then lead the maintenance start-up, working with the rest of the management team. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager.
