- Perform month-end closing assignments including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis of income statement and balance sheet accounts.
- Partner with the business to ensure complete, accurate and timely accounting of all transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of semi-annual and year-end audit requests, in addition to addressing questions as needed.
- Assist in the development of process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting process.
- Identify, develop and ensure the application of internal controls over financial reporting related to all areas responsibility, as needed.
- Identify, communicate, and assist in implementing opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Follow Company policies and procedures.
- Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the manager and the leadership of the Company.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required.
- 3+ years of related industry or public accounting experience at a senior accountant level
- Public accounting firm experience is a plus, e-commerce working experience is a plus.
- Understanding of full-cycle accounting.
- Capable of working in a fast-changing internet environment and adept at quickly learning new business-related software.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel formulas.
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
