Contactfor more informationPosition SummaryThe Primary Care PA-C provides routine medical care in a 70-bed involuntary inpatient psychiatric facility.
This role involves conducting complete medical examinations, diagnosing medical conditions, and managing medical treatment for routine problems, with consultation from the supervising physician as needed.
ResponsibilitiesPerform routine H&Ps for every new admission.Assess and manage medical conditions, including acute complaints and chronic illnesses.
Complete Treatment Plan goals for medical care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Consult with psychiatric providers regarding co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions.
Prescribe, monitor, and evaluate results of prescribed medications.
Order and interpret laboratory tests as required for medical care.
Provide substance withdrawal management as needed.
Accurately and appropriately document medical care provided.
Implement antimicrobial stewardship practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
