Overview
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Outdoor Environment/Support Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a dynamic, engaging, and safe outdoor learning space for young children. In this role, you will support the development of preschoolers by fostering their curiosity, independence, and love for nature through carefully designed outdoor activities and environments. Your energy and commitment will inspire children to explore the world around them while ensuring their safety and well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on early childhood development in a lively, faith-based, and supportive learning environment.
Duties
- Assist in designing and maintaining engaging outdoor environments that promote exploration, physical activity, and sensory experiences aligned with curriculum goals.
- Support teachers by stepping in for them while providing breaks and lunch times
- Supervise children during outdoor activities to ensure safety while encouraging independence and positive social interactions.
- Prepare snacks for children (no cooking required) in the A.M and P.M.
- Distribute Hot lunches to the classrooms (lunches already prepared).
- Help monitor children's behavior using age-appropriate behavior management techniques
- Facilitate and implement meaningful activities for children, foster and encourage respectful and cooperative play.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to promote a nurturing environment focused on childhood development and child welfare.
- Maintain a safe and clean outdoor environment. (may have to sweep sand, wood chips, and water puddles to avoid slips and falls).
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; classroom management skills are essential.
- Knowledge of early childhood development and classroom management strategies.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with supervisor, colleagues, engage children effectively, and connect with parents in a positive and professional manner.
- Certification or training in childhood development or early childhood education is preferred; ongoing professional development is encouraged. Join us in shaping joyful learning experiences for young children by creating inspiring outdoor environments that support their growth

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
