    Uniti Group is seeking a skilled and experienced security professional to join our Cybersecurity Security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for protecting Uniti's critical information assets by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities. In this critical role, you will be responsible for monitoring & maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Uniti's information systems and resources. Working with and developing various security tools and technologies, you will help with the daily analysis and triage of Uniti security events.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Monitor security events and incidents, promptly investigate, and respond to security alerts.
    • Analyze data from information security technology sources that indicate a security event or incident, escalating security alerts as necessary.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and potential threats to Uniti systems and networks.
    • Develop and implement security controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
    • Work closely with Uniti employee end users as well as members of IT to triage and action on security tickets and assignments.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional Uniti teams to design, implement, and maintain security solutions and technologies.
    • Identify security solutions and conduct thorough proof of concepts (POC) on security products to evaluate the overall efficacy of implementations.
    • Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
    • Assist with internal IT team projects, events, and requirements as needed.
    • Develop, update, and maintain Security documentation to include policies, procedures, plans, and designs.
    • Adhere and add to the vision and mission statements of the Cybersecurity department.
    • Perform other training and job requirements as assigned.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical work experience.
    • Proven experience working as a Cybersecurity Analyst or in a similar role.
    • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, antivirus software, etc.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify security vulnerabilities.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Relevant Information Security certifications such as Security+, Pen+, CySA+, CEH, CCNA Security, CISSP, GSEC, etc.
    • Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC, etc., is a plus.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Knowledge of Information Security and Cybersecurity concepts and terminology such as RBAC, PoLP, and DLP, etc.
    • Knowledge and experience with a broad range of information technology including, but not limited to:
      • Various operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc.)
      • Networking protocols and services
      • Active Directory
      • Firewall, IDS, IPS

    Working Conditions:

    • Ability to work multiple tasks in a stressful environment while maintaining a positive and pleasant manner with others.
    • Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
    • Ability to travel up to 20%.
    • Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
