    Hospital Director Risk Management Position in Southern California Healthcare

    We are seeking an experienced Hospital Director Risk Management to oversee comprehensive risk management and patient safety programs across two nearby campuses. As a member of our senior leadership team, you will report directly to the CEO while serving as the facility's Patient Safety Officer and Compliance Officer.

    The successful candidate will lead day-to-day operations for risk management, accreditation/regulatory compliance, and infection control initiatives. Collaboration with senior leadership, medical staff, and corporate partners is essential to maintain the highest standards of patient care and safety.

    This role requires proven experience in healthcare risk assessment, investigation of serious incidents, and implementation of preventative measures. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and comprehensive knowledge of healthcare risk management principles.

    Key Responsibilities:
    - Maintaining risk management databases
    - Conducting facility-wide risk assessments
    - Participating in root cause analyses
    - Leading educational initiatives on risk management best practices
    - Overseeing policy development
    - Ensuring compliance with industry standards

    Patient Safety Focus Areas:
    - Emergency Department
    - ICU
    - Surgery Department
    - OB Department

    Claims and Litigation Process:
    The Hospital Director Risk Management will be responsible for managing claims and litigation processes, investigating serious incidents, and coordinating with corporate risk management teams.

    Certifications and Experience:
    A Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) or Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) designation is preferred. Experienced healthcare leaders with strong leadership abilities and comprehensive knowledge of healthcare risk management principles are encouraged to apply.
