Summary of the Role:

The maintenance technician role involves a range of industrial maintenance tasks including troubleshooting machines, preventative maintenance, and facility upkeep. Utilize expertise in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles to ensure work is done safely and efficiently. Compliance with safety and environmental regulations is crucial. Continuous skills enhancement is a must.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Electrical:

Work on electrical repairs and installations following wiring diagrams
Use digital multimeters and other test tools for device troubleshooting
Understanding of electric circuitry, power systems, and distribution
Repair various electrical controls, drives, etc.
Basic knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and robots

Mechanical:

Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial machinery
Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and carpentry
Perform routine equipment maintenance
Use measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers

Facilities:

Maintain grounds, parking lots, and facilities
Skilled in power tools and equipment use
Knowledge of plumbing equipment and painting
Assist other maintenance personnel when needed
Operate forklifts and company vehicles
Read equipment manuals and schematics
Utilize maintenance software and document control software
Understanding of machining operations and welding

Education and Experience:

Associate Degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering Technology) with 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
Journeyman Trades program completion with 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
High school diploma or equivalent with 8 years of industrial maintenance experience
