    Job DescriptionDescription:

    Operates a variety of light and heavy equipment to support the facilities and grounds of the CCAA in a safe and efficient manner: operates a concrete cutting saw, Bobcat forestry cutter, bush hog, backhoe, John Deere zero turn mower and front deck mower, forklifts and hand trucks, dump truck and flatbed trucks, excavators and other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions; and performs preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operations and long-life cycle of equipment.

    Transports equipment and other supplies (tables and chairs for event planning); operates pressure washer equipment and maintains parking decks and other surfaces; cuts and fills asphalt holes on site; prepares storm water reports and observes any pollution issues that may harm storm water and completes storm water reports, and escorts others to the appropriate on-site locations.

    Requires the ability to understand and comply with safe work practices when operating or maintain light and heavy equipment and maintains a productive and cooperative working relationship with other team members, supervisor, vendors, tenants, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.

    Performs other related duties as required

    Requirements:

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    Requires the level of formal education typically acquired by completion of post high school vocational course work or technical training leading to a certificate in equipment maintenance or related discipline. Requires moderate vocational experience. Involves knowledge and comprehension of techniques, information, methods, procedures, which are related to specific jobs such as an equipment operator and which can be acquired from some combination of vocational training, apprentice training, on the job training, or essential experience in lower-level jobs during a period of up to 2 years.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Requires a valid Driver's License. CDL A License preferred, but not required. Forklift Operators certification preferred.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Requires the ability perform work of an active nature; to stand for extended periods of time, walk up to 400 yards, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) heavy weights of up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and 75 pounds on occasion. Requires the ability to push, pull, and guide materials over 50 pounds. Requires the ability to climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch on a regular basis. Requires sufficient hand-eye coordination, hand and finger dexterity including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to operate specialized equipment and safety information. Requires auditory ability to hear machinery sounds and alarms. Requires near and far visual acuity to observe moving objects, and observe work-in-progress. Requires speaking ability to carry on ordinary conversations. Requires the ability to work in extreme temperature conditions.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Work is performed mostly outdoors in extreme weather conditions where significant safety considerations exist from full-body physical labor and handling of medium-to-heavy weight materials.
