Under the supervision of a Certified Surgical Tech, this role supports the safe and efficient conduct of surgical procedures. The main goal of the Surgical Tech position is to aid the surgeon and RN's during operations.
Tasks include preparing the surgical operating room with drapes, equipment, and supplies, ensuring everything is in good condition. As well as assisting with patient preparation, positioning, and providing instruments during surgery.
Responsibilities also encompass processing specimens, performing pre-operative tasks, and handling various duties related to the Surgery unit following Hospital Policies and Procedures.
The Surgical Tech is responsible for reporting incidents, patient or employee issues, work-related accidents, and any unusual events to Registered Nurses.
