    Description

    The Human Resources Generalist / Title IX Assistant is responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources / Title IX Coordinator in all phases of the Human Resources Department with specific responsibilities for maintaining and managing the Human Resources Information System database including payroll preparation, employment and benefits.

    Position Requirements

    Specific Responsibilities:

    HRIS Management:
      • Input new employee data into HRIS and update employee records
      • Payroll preparation for employee payroll
      • Assist employees with human resources/payroll issues and/or requests
      • Assist Human Resources manager with yearly audits
    Employment:
      • Manage position requests, job descriptions and applicant tracking system
      • Manage all aspects of new employee onboarding/offboarding
      • Monitor PTO in HRIS tracking system
      • Plan employee related campus events (new hire orientations, etc.)
    Title IX:
    • Provide supportive measure for students during the TIX reporting process
    • Manage SafeColleges online training platform for faculty/staff/students
    • Manage the investigative and hearing processes
    • Assist with formal complaints, interviews, and communications
    • Campus outreach
    Additional duties:
      • Serve as ex officio member of the Staff Personnel Committee
      • Attend professional meetings, conferences, and workshops
      • Benefit billing reconciliation
      • Update employee Handbook and employee listings
      • Assist the Student Work Program Manager as needed
    Qualifications:
    • Employee must possess strong communication skills including the demonstrated ability to work well with the multi-level administrative/faculty/staff structure found in an academic setting. Problem solving, organizational skills and high attention to details are essential. Candidate must have computer experience, be well-organized, be able to perform accurately and efficiently in meeting deadlines, and able to work with minimal supervision. Demonstrated experience in appropriately handling confidential information is required.
    • University degree or equivalent experience is necessary.
    • Prefer experience in an academic setting.
    • Paychex and Colleague experience a plus.
    • Title IX experience a plus.
