    We are seeking an Employee Benefits Account Specialist to join our growing team in Lambertville, NJ.

    The Employee Benefits Account Specialist is responsible for providing client service support to the sales and account management teams using insurance market knowledge, products, and legislation. This role handles all aspects of account servicing for small books of business and/or ancillary lines under supervision.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide daily support to assigned books of business and respective Producers and Account Executives.
    • Offer excellent customer service to clients' employee memberships and carrier account management teams.
    • Research and resolve employee claim and enrollment inquiries within a reasonable timeframe.
    • Provide documentation to client employees regarding active medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and FSA programs, COBRA, Healthcare Reform, Federal and NJ State Mandates, and other related employee benefit topics.
    • Understand health and benefits products, services, and tools to educate membership on available programs.
    • Stay current on industry trends, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology.
    • Assist in preparing customer renewal proposals while ensuring internal required documents are used.
    • Review internal compliance and client disclosure requirements, summary plan documents (SPDs), and employee communications to ensure alignment with client expectations and legal requirements.
    • Document sales information into the internal management database.
    • Participate in client calls and meetings as appropriate.

    Licenses and Certifications:

    • NJ Life and Health license in good standing, required within 60 days of hire.

    Skills & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree (strongly preferred).
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment, including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Publisher. Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc.
    • Proficient knowledge of office equipment, including copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.
    • 2+ years progressive experience in Insurance, Human Resources, or a Brokerage Firm.
