    Job Description:

    When you join the client you'll play a key role, collaborating with leading tech professionals to strengthen and protect our economic, financial, and reporting systems. We have numerous strategic efforts in progress and we're building a dynamic and diverse team for our future.

    We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer II to join our team. You will be responsible to design, test and implement Java-based web applications in the AWS cloud, using industry standard software development practices and tools in an agile software development environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide estimates of level of work for completion.
    • Create and maintain required technical documentation to support the application.
    • Migrate application modules to an AWS cloud infrastructure.
    • Understand current application infrastructure and stack to employ best cloud solutions.
    • Conduct analysis, testing, updating, and debugging, identifying bottlenecks and bugs in the system and develop solutions.
    • Translate complex application stories, use cases, and business concept designs into functional, dynamic applications.
    • Develop reusable and scalable code using industry standard software development practices, techniques, tools, secure coding practices and frameworks.
    • Work with cross functional teams, integrate solutions, and handle data conversions and migrations.
    • Provide feedback to the development team on individual's coding practices via code reviews and other means.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree or commensurate
    • 7 or more years of relevant work experience
    • Detail oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Familiarity with industry cloud implementation and software development methodologies, standards, and architecture frameworks
    • Demonstrated experience with Cloud native services, Docker, IaC, TypeScript, Python
    • Developing solutions utilizing the following code quality and security controls: SonarQube, NexusIQ, and Contrast
    • Developing and implementing solutions utilizing Spring, Spring Boot, and Angular UI frameworks
    • Designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platform
    • Demonstrated ability to adapt and learn new technologies.
