- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as nonprofit management, public administration, communications, or related area). Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of securing grants from government agencies and private foundations.
- Familiarity with federal grant programs and regulations, including but not limited to those administered by agencies such as PDE, PCCD, eGrants, etc.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals and reports.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with grant requirements.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google suites as well as grant management software.
- Research, identify, and evaluate grant opportunities from various government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources.
- Develop compelling grant proposals, applications, and supporting documents in collaboration with program managers and other stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for federal programs and grants, maintaining strong relationships with program officers and representatives.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to funding agencies, providing updates on grant activities, achievements, and outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with program managers, finance department, and other team members to gather necessary information and data for grant applications and reporting.

We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our team as a Grant Writer and Federal Programs Coordinator. This position plays a crucial role in securing funding through grant writing and managing federal programs effectively. POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Located in southeastern Pennsylvania, the Octorara Area School District was established in 1956. It covers nearly 79.79 square miles and serves the boroughs of Atglen, Christiana, and Parkesburg, along with several townships. The district comprises four schools: Octorara Primary Learning Center (K-2), Octorara Elementary School (3-4), Octorara Intermediate School (5-6), and Octorara Jr./Sr High School (7-12), all located on one main campus. Approximately 2,100 students attend Octorara schools.
