    TMC, a LinQuest company is seeking a Space Electronic Warfare (SEW), SME to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. An active Top Secret DoD security clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

    Position Summary

    The SME/Space EW performs research, design, build, and test new products for full or partial systems. Evaluates new technology and materials to determine their potential applications in existing products or in new products. Ensures logical and systematic conversion of prototype requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical constraints. Understand design requirements, orders material and to support prototype builds. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies. Ensures logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into prototyped solutions that acknowledge technical constraints. Performs functional analysis, detail trade studies, and requirements. Performs planning, modeling, validation, and verification activities. Able to mentor more junior level team members and lead large teams in prototype task completion. Prepares presentations, reports, research, and other deliverables. Participates in selected programs, events, and meetings involving staff, Government customers, and visitors. Familiarity with software architecture, service-oriented architecture, agile processes, systems engineering, and verification and validation. Defines the standards for detailed analysis, reports, advice, and designs on all related new systems or upgrades to existing system/sub system components. Applies principles and techniques to complete prototyping projects and solve engineering problems in all phases of requirements analysis, design, development, integration/ implementation, testing, and training. Leads design reviews, teleconferences, meetings, and discussions concerning systems development and upgrades, prepares technical reports on all findings, conclusions, and issues concerning these developments and upgrades. Works closely with customers and cross-functional teams (PMO, engineering, software, logistics, cyber, development, manufacturing, test, and integration); provides technical integration support for the management team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with other technologists, researchers, and engineers to understand existing or near-term capabilities for formulating pursuits.
    • Work with our prime and government customers to translate technical requirements and trade studies into solutions to provide effective capabilities.
    • Align and communicate strategic goals with tactical plans, and direction to the technical team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Lead, inspire, and motivate a team of technical professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
    • Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members, with leadership, customers, support contractors, and other internal and external stakeholders. Promote knowledge sharing, innovation, and cross-organization cooperation.
    • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key government, commercial and industry customers.
    • Review and advise on technical requirements and evaluate against future needs and threats.
    • Understand design requirements, orders material and supplies to support prototype build
    • Ensure designs are compatible with the architecture and allocated requirements.
    • Address user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate and improve capabilities.
    • Perform functional analysis, requirements allocation to translate requirements into hardware and software specifications.
    • Review of program documents, providing comments and compiling other reviewer comments
    • Support program management activities to include mitigation of risks, issues, interdependencies, and assisting in the development of action plans for resolution.
    • Prepare Microsoft Visio drawing, Prepare Site Survey reports, and technical study reports.
    • Assist in preparing Engineering plans such as System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP), System/Subsystem Design Document (SSDD).
    • Prepare necessary engineering documentation, i.e., drawings, project specifications, procedures, etc.
    • Abides by company policies, procedures, and AS9100 quality policy.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Knowledge of a wide range of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) and satellite communications equipment operations, techniques, practices, repair, evaluation, and analysis.
    Required Skills and Experience:
    • 12+ years of SEW experience
    • Must have an active TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
    • BS/BA in related field - Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education
    • Knowledge of a wide range of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE) and satellite communications equipment operations, techniques, practices, repair, evaluation, and analysis.
    • Skill in analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, bulletins, technical manuals, and specifications related to satellite communication systems and associated equipment.
    • Ability to identify operational deficiencies of satellite equipment and sensor systems through various methods to include automated technologies to recommend corrective action.
    • Ability to support future capability definition, system-of-systems definitions, integration practices, design methodology and architectures.
    • Experience and proficiency with MS Visio; Proficiency in MS Office, to include drafting and revising of technical documentation.
    • Collaborative and inclusive style and ability to work with diverse colleagues and customers. Influencing, communication and team skills will be critical to successful execution of the duties of the position.
    • Excellent communication skills with presentation experience to senior decision-makers and/or technical audiences
    • Must hold a valid USA driver's license.
    Preferred Skills and Experience:
    • Working knowledge of space enabling systems, including ground systems, SATCOM systems, and system development processes.
    • Working knowledge of network equipment such as routers, firewalls, cross-domain guards, wireless access points, cell technology, microwave
    • Experience with operations, testing, training, or weapons and tactics with the Space Electromagnetic Warfare mission area
    • Experience with CMMI and ISO 9000:2015 standards, processes, and procedures
    • Advanced technical degree
    Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from approximately $120,000 to $190,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
