Job summary
The Health Information Management Clerk position is responsible for any combination of the following activities: Assist and support HIM Tech's with discharge processing.Prepping, scanning and indexing of loose documents that are sent after discharge to the HIM department. Good understanding of paper documents and how they are used within EHR.
- Assist in Prepping, Scanning, Index and Analysis – 60%
- Answer phones
- Customer service assistance with visitors to the department, to include physicians and leadership
