    Job Title: Navy Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services – CANES (Electronics Tech)

    This position is located in Norfolk, Virginia

    Job Summary

    GDIT is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to support the MARMC program. The successful candidate will perform highly complex technical functions, including set up, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical components and systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Performs highly complex technical functions in support of engineering activities such as set up, operation, maintenance, modification, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical components and systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, or specialized test equipment.
    • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions.
    • Directs complex engineering tests to collect design data or assist in general research work.
    • Diagnoses and isolates equipment and system malfunctions that fail to respond to standard corrective measures, and makes necessary repairs.
    • Participates in the development of electronic equipment.
    • Repairs or modifies cables and equipment returned by operational users or by personnel in the associated test and development laboratories.
    • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
    • May serve as a team leader.
    • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
    • Candidate must have a minimum of four (4) years specific experience gained in troubleshooting, repair, and assessment of at least one of the following systems: AN/USQ-208 Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services - CANES.
    • While not required, the more experience gained on these systems may be more advantageous to the government.

    Required Qualifications

    • US Citizen
    • Secret clearance
    • AA/AS, 3+ years experience or equivalent
    • 3+ years of directly related experience
