    As a Business Area Director at Boston Fusion, you will be responsible for the technical success of the Sentient Systems directorate.

    This role oversees technical projects as Project Manager, leads and guides proposal efforts, and mentors and develops team members to successfully solve complex technical problems that support national security.

    As a Business Area Director responsible for the technical success of a directorate, you will plan, establish, and manage highly complex projects and identify and shape business development opportunities.

    Day to Day Responsibilities:

    Oversee multiple company projects between customers and internal research and project teams

    Coordinate the operation of project teams to confirm assigned projects are completed according to specifications, budgets, and timelines

    Develop proposals, ideas, and leads to support company business development goals

    Ensure project teams are setting and meeting project milestones, deadlines, objectives, and goals

    Prioritize and assign team members to appropriate projects as needed

    Develop team member's professional skills by providing thoughtful and consistent feedback on performance

    This job is right for you if you have (Minimum Qualifications):

    PhD and 10 years' experience in computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, cognitive science, or related fields and 15 or more years of professional research and project management experience

    Research and development experience in one or more areas of technical expertise relevant to the Sentient Systems Directorate's core capabilities, which include:

    Signal processing

    Sensors and phenomenology

    Multi-source data fusion

    Remote sensing

    Quantitative social science

    Demonstrated success leading and managing large projects in a contractor environment

    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    Experience with proposal writing and engagement with government sponsors

    Proven ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

    Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

    Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills, particularly in the technical domain

    Active DoD security clearance

    U.S. Citizenship

    Preferred Qualifications :

    Experience with Department of Defense/Intelligence Community/Department of Homeland Security Research and Development (R&D)

    8+ years of experience applying technology to US Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Community problems
