    To lead and holistically support the student population of William Peace University


    Summary of Position:


    The University Chaplain provides religious guidance to students, faculty, staff, and alumni, serves as a liaison between the University and community churches, and assists with the planning and execution of campus events.


    Essential duties and responsibilities:
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


    • Provide religious counseling to students, faculty, staff, and alumni as requested
    • Host select chapel services for students, faculty, staff, and alumni
    • Provides messages or invocations as scheduled including at alumni events
    • Represent the University during family emergencies of students and employees
    • Assist the Office of the President and Academic Affairs with Baccalaureate, Convocation, and holiday events
    • Serve as the liaison between the University and community churches and the Association of Presbyterian Colleges & Universities (APCU)
    • Effectively work with a diverse group of students, employees, families, community partners, visitors, and guests
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Master of Divinity from an accredited seminary or theological institution

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Chaplain experience serving in a higher education setting
