Position Summary:
Responsible and accountable for coordinating and supervising the nursing care provided to patients having operative or other invasive procedures.
The nurse manager will provide functional direction to members of the perioperative team to achieve optimal patient outcomes while optimizing available resources including surgical case management and perioperative patient care coordination.
Will serve as a clinical resource to the nursing staff; appropriately and accurately communicate and share information; effectively establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members; manage specialty area frustrations and challenges in a constructive and positive manner and assist others to work effectively under stress.
The nurse manager must use appropriate channels of communication; facilitate the orientation/cross-training of students/staff to specialty area. The nurse manager will support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.Minimum Qualifications:
