POSITION: Hockey Instructor -- P/T Hourly
REPORTS TO: Hockey Coordinator

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for a Hockey Instructor at the McFetridge Sports Center. The Hockey Instructor is responsible for assisting and/or running beginner, intermediate and advanced tennis lessons for kids and adults at the McFetridge Sports Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist with and/or lead hockey lessons, teaching basic Learn to Skate hockey and Learn to Play hockey skills at the direction of the Hockey Coordinator.

• Monitor and ensure the proper use of hockey equipment.

• Assist in the planning and organization of hockey lessons and activities.

• Instruct patrons on proper techniques to support skill development and overall success in hockey.

• Maintain a safe, positive, and fun environment that encourages participation, exercise, and enjoyment of the sport.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Position requires ability to:

• Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons and others encountered in the course of employment.

• Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.

• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.

• Ensuring and following safety measures and regulations.

• Ice skating skills and general fitness experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant should have previous hockey playing experience - must have or be in the process of obtaining a USA hockey coaching certification. Applicant should be able to teach fundamental skating and hockey skills to children ranging in ages 3-15 years old as well as adults. Applicant would have to be available weekday evenings and weekends.

Hours: This position requires the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Able to work specifically on weekday evenings and weekends.

HOURLY RATE:  $19.00
