    Description

    This position is responsible for achieving sales goals for Arrow Fastener's product line in the hardware channel. Working with the Hardware Merchants, the National Account Manager must enhance the strategic supplier relationship that gives Arrow a unique competitive advantage and a dominant market share.

    Responsibilities

    • Takes a lead role in all National level interfaces
    • Articulates strategic goals of our corporation to all retail team members, including Merchant, Merchant's Assistant, Regional Merchandise Managers, and District Merchandise Managers
    • Advises Merchant teams on category management issues, based on periodic review of item sales performance at retail and new product introduction Arrow Fastener
    • Creates awareness at a National level for Arrow value-added initiatives, which enhance our strategic supplier relationship
    • Submits forecasts to Arrow in advance of any incremental demand, including company store growth, new stores, expanded product listings, and promotional/seasonal sales activities
    • Work with Director of Sales and internal teams to set annual forecasts for all categories
    • Adheres to budget guidelines
    • Analyze territory sales performance reports to develop and execute strategic business plans to support growth and increased sales
    • Identifies reports for Director of Sales regarding any significant competitive activity for each retailer
    • Develops action plans, when appropriate, to address competitive activities
    • Assist Director of Sales with office workflow and appropriate following up with internal teams
    • Work cross-functionally with all appropriate departments (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, etc.) to develop strategy and exceed sales goals
    • Works on strategic programs as required
    • Individual should be creative and have the ability to visualize and communicate new types of products, merchandising and programs that would create a competitive advantage to customers
    • Work with Director of Sales to identify new business development, planning, and execution
    • Individual to manage rep groups calling on assigned retailers

    Qualifications
    • A highly developed level of creative skills, resourcefulness and perseverance are required to succeed as a National Account Manager
    • Critical thinking skills must be applied to determine the best strategic approach to maintain budget controls and to effectively use the resources within Arrow Fastener
    • Ability to multi-task, have strong attention to detail, and be organized are all necessary to be successful in this position
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization
    • Strong ability to work in a team environment
    • Must be willing and able to travel at least 25%+. Valid driver's license with good driving record is
    Education & Experience
    • A minimum of 5 years' experience in sales is typically required
    • Bachelor's Degree required or the equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
    • Proven track record in managing enterprise account management or a related role, preferably in hardware retail
    • Proficient user in MS Office suite. Must be able to prepare reports, presentations, charts, schedules, procedures, and other data as necessary
