    Job Summary:

    The Revenue Cycle Director will play a pivotal role in fostering collaboration across all service line leaders and act as a key member of the management team responsible to oversee and optimize all aspects of the revenue cycle including billing, collections, HIM, insurance eligibility, reimbursement processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develops and implements methods and procedures to meet and exceed productivity, efficiency, financial and quality goals.
    • Provides daily leadership and guidance, direction, and motivation to team.
    • Be a leader and point person in all areas of the Business Office teams.
    • Overseeing visit coding, posting charges, payments, and adjustments, processing claims, working denials, customer service calls, working collections lists, maintaining related files and logs, and checking patient insurance eligibility.
    • Review policy and procedures and ensure all process and training documentation is up to date.
    • Conduct regular team meetings ensuring a sense of community among team and sharing performance and overall updates to keep the team informed.
    • Aids in the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiencies and quality within the department.
    • Conducts and reviews performance appraisals of direct reports, identifies performance problems, and initiates disciplinary actions. Evaluates subordinate's performance by establishing objectives and measurements for supervisory and service personnel. Provides constructive feedback on a consistent basis.
    • Foster a patient-focused culture, focusing on exceptional service and patient satisfaction.
    • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
    • Maintains confidentiality, security, and standards of ethics with all information.
    • Maintain expert knowledge of HIPAA guidelines.
    • Stay up to date with healthcare billing and coding regulations, ensuring the company's practices comply with state and federal laws.
    • Monitor the status of insurance claims and work on resolving denied or underpaid claims.
    • Continuously assess and streamline revenue cycle processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Proficient in typing, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
    • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
    • Possess a thorough working knowledge of third-party payers and insurance verification procedures and understand managed care and insurance contractual arrangements.
    • Proficiency in medical EHR systems. (EMA)
    • Demonstrated expertise in process improvement, productivity and problem solving in payment posting, internal financial controls and balancing is required.
    • Proficient with financial management principles related to healthcare practices.
    • Ability to communicate calmly and clearly with patients and others on the phone and in-person.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Ability to navigate Practice Management and EHR systems.

    Supervisory Requirements:

    • Will oversee the day-to-day operations of the revenue cycle including billing, collections, HIM, insurance eligibility, reimbursement processes. 15 plus direct reports.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree or related field preferred (Business Management, Finance, Operations or Healthcare Administration). Master's Degree a plus.
    • Minimum of 5-10 years' progressive management experience in a revenue cycle environment within the healthcare industry.

    Work Environment:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a clinic setting.
