    Warehouse Supervisor

    Shift: 3rd Shift

    3rd Shift: 9:00pm - 5:30am

    We are currently seeking a Operations Supervisor in Tracy, CA to join our Team. While following Metro Supply Chain, In. US, Inc. a best practice, the Warehouse Supervisor plans, coordinates and monitors activities of a warehouse operations team. Proactively responds to events and issues that threaten safety and the productivity and quality of the operation. Ensures effective communication with team members, through observation while on the warehouse floor. one-on-one meetings and team meetings. Builds open and honest relationships with the customer, ensures the team provides service excellence, understands, and anticipates customer needs.

    Responsibilities
    Ensure safe working environment and correct at risk behaviors.
    Manages challenges on the warehouse floor through observations and those raised by team members. Identify and remove barriers to productivity.
    Develop collaborative relationships with team members, providing leadership necessary to achieve warehouse operation objectives.
    Train and ensure consistent, sustainable CPG best practice processes as the basis for all work.
    Perform audits to verify process compliance through audits
    Monitor outbound Order Progress and/or Load Planning Display in WMS to ensure progress against days tasks is progressing according to plan and all tasks will be completed on time

    Escalate to management if work zones and work areas in WMS are not maximizing efficient operation of the business by reducing team member order picking and replenishment travel time.

    Ensures all relevant regulatory procedures and standards are in compliance with required standards.
    Understand customer contract agreement as necessary to meet expected service level KPI's.
    Ensure safety compliance is first and foremost for the security and safety of teammates. Ensure safety incident reports are completed timely and partner with leadership to identify root cause analysis and corrective action.
    Recognize and reward positive behavior.
    Complete any Incident Reports fully, with root cause analysis
    Other duties as assigned

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    Preferably a College Diploma in Business Management with focus in Logistics Management and/or the equivalent in experience.
    Five (5) years warehouse experience, with two (2) years in a leadership role preferably at a 3PL.
    Previous experience with Warehouse Management Information System (WMS)

    Ability to manage the performance of others in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
    Ability to lead a team that supports Metro's values and business direction.
    Use analytical reasoning to quickly understand and identify issues and propose solutions.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work in a customer focused environment.
