Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to coordinate and assure productivity and staff accountability for the planning, development,
implementation, and evaluation of the goals and objectives of the training component of the
Maryland WIC Program. This position will assist in monitoring local agency compliance with federal regulations
and state policy and procedures to ensure quality program services. This position is a key staff
person responsible for training all new WIC staff throughout the State. This position also provides technical
assistance to local agency staff related to certification and eligibility determination.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Community Health, Nutrition or Public Health.
Experience:
Five years of experience providing professional dietetic or nutrition services, three yearsmust have been in a public health or community setting and one yearmust have been at the administrative, consultative or supervisory level.
