    Data Scientist (Hybrid)

    • Pay range - $65 to $80/hr


    Job Summary:

    • The Enterprise Data Management & Analytics team supervises the platform and data management capabilities that enable analytics, data engineering, and data science across the company.
    • Our client is always finding new ways to automate and speed up the development of products using cutting-edge software and hardware technologies.
    • We utilize the latest AWS technologies and big data strategies, building distributed, highly reliable systems to reach our objectives.
    • We are seeking exceptional Data Scientists who enjoy engaging with our clients, collaborating within a team, and proactively taking initiative.
    • This position will facilitate deriving value from machine learning, leading to a measurable improvement in the delivery of spacecraft and systems, influencing the design, execution, and deployment of successful, large-scale systems and services.


    Job Responsibilities:

    • The Data Scientist establishes new development tools and infrastructure to support the Client
    • Creating, developing, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and tested code in Python and other relevant programming languages and libraries
    • Focusing on automating and enhancing development and release processes
    • Implementing Machine Learning solutions into extensive production environments
    • Advancing knowledge in AI and computer vision on an ongoing basis
    • Reviewing and evaluating code authored by colleagues and analyzing outcomes
    • Identifying technical issues and developing software updates and solutions
    • Collaborating with data scientists and software engineers to ensure development adheres to established protocols and functions as intended
    • Sharing insights on performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices
    • Our client is in search of a skilled Data Scientist to utilize their technical proficiency, leadership abilities, and dedication to excellence to positively impact the safety of human space travel. A strong passion for our mission and vision is essential


    Job Qualifications:

    • 3+ Years of Experience in a Data Scientist or Statistician Position
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Python, R, or Scala
    • Experience with MLOps strategies in Azure, AWS, or GCP
    • History of mentoring Junior Data Scientists and overseeing entire data science projects from start to finish
    • Proven track record of developing and deploying statistical/machine learning techniques leading to significant business impacts
    • Familiarity with git/version control and build/release pipelines
    • Solid theoretical and practical knowledge in NLP, including expertise in innovative LLM architectures optimized for handling extensive contexts with minimal inference costs
    • Competence in deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.) and libraries commonly utilized in NLP and Generative AI
    • Dedication to quality and customer satisfaction, with attention to detail and abstract thinking capabilities
    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience matching educational requirements
    • Ability to build trust, foster positive professional relationships, and enhance our culture of inclusivity


    Desired Qualification:

    • Proficiency in RDBMS and Big Data environments like Databricks
    • Understanding of professional software development methodologies for the entire software creation process, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
    • Background in distributed computing, service-oriented architectures, and large-scale systems
    • Experience collaborating with end-users, other technical teams, and senior management to gather requirements and outline software product functionalities, technical designs, and product strategies
