    Job Summary

    The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for providing support and back up for all payroll functions. The coordinator will serve as front-line for employees and managers with inquiries varying in topic from payroll specific items. They will support the processing of multi-state, foreign and Canada bi-weekly payroll, providing audit support for payroll. They must be familiar with basic payroll processing.

    Responsibilities


    • Support the Payroll Lead and perform payroll-related data entry functions such as processing new hires, terminations, pay changes, tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, direct deposit changes, etc. in ADP and SAP/SuccessFactors (as needed).
    • Support each bi-weekly payroll processing; learn to run US, Canada, and foreign payrolls.
    • Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding time management (eTime - ADP), inquiries concerning pay deductions, wage garnishments, child support payments.
    • Create ad-hoc payroll reports as required by other departments, automating this process whenever possible.
    • Manage invoicing processing for payroll
    • Maintain employee payroll records for time off and paid leave of absence.
    • Recommend continuous improvement on development and implementation of payroll practices, policies, and procedures.
    • Participate in payroll related projects including process improvement and technology implementations.
    • Present and train during new hire orientation for ADP registration and other support.
    • Assist and backup other members of the People Team as needed.
    • Adhere to payroll and benefit procedures and legal requirements surrounding payroll, and employment law.
    • Assist with preparing and processing payments for Payroll.
    • Support other benefits and payroll-related special projects, as required.
    • Performs other duties as required and/or assigned.
    • May be required to travel up to 10% of the time.
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities


    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting various deadlines.
    • Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts.
    • Strong analytical skills, exercise some autonomy and independent judgment and problem-solving skills with discretion.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Rigorous attention to detail and highly organized, with a high degree of accuracy and follow-up.
    • Commitment to provide outstanding customer service.
    • Ability to work in team environment, possessing a sense of accountability and urgency in completing assignments.
    • Ability to work with discretion, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
    Education & Experience


    • Associates degree in Accounting or Human Resources, preferred
    • 3+ years experience working in Payroll, required
    • Experience in SuccessFactors (SAP), ADP Workforce Now and eTime or preferred
    Location


    The role is located in our Broomfield, Colorado office or our McPherson, Kansas plant and is hybrid with onsite 2-3 days a week.


    Total Rewards Package:
    Compensation


    • Colorado Base: $55,000 to $72,000 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
    • Bonus or Commission: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
