**Job Description:**
F. McConnell and Sons, Inc. located in New Haven, IN is seeking a proactive, team oriented leader to join our fast paced organization. At McConnell's, our mission is to excel in all phases of convenience store and foodservice distribution, partner with our customers and vendors to ensure our mutual success, and be respected for our people, products, and performance.
Establish and maintain a smooth and efficient operation of night shift order fulfillment activity. Supervise and coordinate accomplishment of shift objectives. Set work schedules, assign work areas and provide employee training. Work schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 5:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. or until work is complete, approximately 45-50 hours per week.
This is a hands on supervisory position that will require active work on the warehouse floor as needed to support timely completion of order fulfillment.
**Essential Functions:**
Supervise picking and loading of goods. Maintains restocking of all picking slots.
Provide direction to employees to ensure workload is completed in an efficient and cost effective manner.
Plan and determine labor needs according to volume and establish work schedules to minimize overtime.
Maintain a positive presence on the floor throughout the shift.
Ensure errors are tracked and promptly resolved.
Foster ongoing process improvement to achieve maximum efficiencies.
Monitor warehouse contents to protect against loss.
Maintain all company quality, safety, and housekeeping standards.
Adhere to and enforces safe work practices
**Experience and Skills:**
3-5 years work experience in order fulfillment environment
Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations
Ability to train employees in the safe operation of forklifts and other warehouse equipment
Bachelor degree or experience in lieu of degree
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and maintain physical activity including bending, lifting, walking, and stooping in completing order selection
Pass pre-employment drug test
Working knowledge of inventory management systems preferred
Experience moving tractor trailers helpful
