    JOB SUMMARY
    Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Data Scientist for a 3-6M+ Contract opportunity that is 100% Remote-based.

    The Data Scientist will collaborate with teams to provide strategic insights, develop predictive models, and drive data-driven decision-making.


    The Data Scientist will review company data and assist in understanding the overall scope and relative value of the data and will make recommendations for additional data that might be needed to increase the overall value.

    Conduct Analysis of Complex Data Sets to Uncover Insights / Trends, etc.

    Design / Develop / Implement Predictive Models and ML (Machine Learning) Algorithms

    Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams to Understand Business Reqs / Deliver Actionable Data Solutions

    Communicate Findings / Recommendations to Technical / Non-Technical Stakeholders via Clear / Compelling Visualizations / Reports

    Interface with Legal to Understand Boundaries for Data Usage

    Interface with Data Services Teams to Understand the Data / How Data is Collected / Stored

    Interface with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to Understand Business Context

    Interface with Architecture Teams to Understand Infrastructure / Channels for Data Delivery

    Technical Environment:

    AWS (Lambda / EBS / EC2 / S3 / Security / CloudFormation / CloudWatch / Terraform / IaC), Azure (DevOps / CI/CD / DataFactory), and PowerBI.


    JOB REQUIREMENTS
    Data Scientist – In-Depth Analysis / Evaluation of Large Complex Datasets to Uncover Insights / Trends

    AI / ML Models – Linear and Logical Regressions / Deep Neural Networks / Decision Trees, etc.

    ML Libraries / Frameworks – NumPy / Matplotlib / Pandas / Scikit-Learn / PyTorch / TensorFlow / Shogun, etc.

    Predictive Models / ML Algorithms – Design / Development / Implementation

    Big Data Technologies (knowledge) – Hadoop / Spark / Kafka / ElasticSearch / Splunk / Apache (Hive / Storm)

    Statistical Concepts and Methodologies (understanding)

    Programming Languages (hands-on) – Python / R, etc.

    BI Visualizations – Excellent Data Visualization / Presentation / Communication Skills

    PREFERRED (not required)

    Insurance Industry / F&I (Finance & Insurance)
