Use CAD/CAM software to nest and program CNC laser cutting equipment, maximizing utilization and meeting customer demands.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Program/Set-Up/ CNC Lasers and other cutting equipment.
• Coordinate with planning to maximize material utilization without jeopardizing on time delivery.
• Uses CAD/CAM Software to nest work orders
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Documents actions by completing required logs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Follow all company rules and policies.
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.

Experience and Education Required:

High School diploma or GED

Job Specific Competencies

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of experience operating and programming a CNC Machine
• Provides leadership for CNC Machine
• Background working with metal and ability to distinguish different metal types
• Experience using CAD/CAM software.
• Conceptual Skills, Process Improvement, Functional and Technical Skills, Controls and Instrumentation, Tooling, Attention to Detail, Judgment
• Ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision while meeting all product quality required.

Work Environment:

• Walking, bending, standing, carrying product, reaching overhead and heavy lifting required
• Job requires the ability to stand or walk 10 – 12 hours
• Ability to frequently lift and carry material weighing up to 35 pounds
