    Hardware / Software Specialist

    S2Technologies is currently seeking qualified candidates to join our team. We are currently looking for candidates who have experience providing Network Infrastructure. As a Hardware/Software Specialist, you will review computer systems in terms of machine capabilities and man-machine interface. Prepares reports and studies concerning hardware and/or software. Keeps abreast of emerging operational support technologies and industry trends. Prepares functional requirements and specifications for hardware/software acquisitions. Monitors system performance, gathers data, and prepares management reports. Ensures that problems have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user's requirements.


    The qualified candidate shall perform the following tasks:


    Experience/Responsibilities:

    • Maintaining computer networks including mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware
    • Installing and configuring network equipment
    • Creating firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected
    • Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for all systems
    • Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management
    • Implementing disaster recovery procedures
    • Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems

    Education:

    • BA/BS preferred in a technical discipline with at least 5 years of experience

    Certifications:

    • IAT Level II

    Security Clearance:

    • Top Secret Clearance Required
