    About the Opportunity:

    Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Project Engineer will play a critical role in supporting the successful completion of construction projects by providing technical expertise, coordinating project activities, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction principles, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results. The Project Manager is expected to work from the Santa Clarita office 5 days per week.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and execution of project activities.
    2. Technical Support: Provide technical expertise and support throughout all phases of the construction process, including pre-construction, construction, and post-construction activities.
    3. Construction Documentation: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other project-related documents.
    4. Quality Control: Conduct quality inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and industry standards. Identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
    5. Cost Control: Assist in monitoring project budgets, costs, and expenses. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend cost-effective solutions to maximize project profitability.
    6. Schedule Management: Support the development and maintenance of project schedules. Monitor project progress, identify potential delays or obstacles, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
    7. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and hazards associated with construction activities. Implement proactive measures to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment for all project stakeholders.
    8. Subcontractor Management: Assist in the procurement and management of subcontractors. Monitor subcontractor performance, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
    9. Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the construction process.
    10. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance job skills and knowledge.

    Qualifications/or General Requirements:

    • Ability to learn new skills and adapt to various software programs quickly
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to comfortably interact with management, fellow employees, third parties, etc. in a positive manner
    • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks to adhere to deadlines
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
    • Previous experience in commercial construction projects is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of construction principles, practices, and techniques.
    • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • $30/Hour
