    Mass Tort Paralegal - South Carolina, United States - CAROLINA LEGAL ASSOCIATES

    CLA has an immediate need for an experienced Mass Tort Paralegal. The paralegals will be the main point of contact between attorneys and clients and must be able to prioritize work based on deadlines. The paralegals must have strong attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The paralegals are also expected to handle sensitive matters with discretion.

    Sample responsibilities:

    • Answering case intake calls and interviewing potential clients
    • Create initial client files, send out client information packets, and enter records into case management system
    • Serve as the main point of contact between attorneys and clients.
    • Maintaining case documents/databases
    • Discovery work including responses and completing client fact sheets
    • Obtaining medical records from clients and healthcare facilities
    • Legal Document preparation and drafting including pleadings, motions, trial documents, etc.
    • Familiarity with legal terminology and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
    • Must be comfortable with federal e-filing

    Qualifications:

    • 2-3 years of experience managing personal injury cases is preferred
    • Mass Tort experience is preferred
    • Possess excellent communication skills
    • Able to think clearly and prioritize workload
    • Have excellent organizational skills
    • Be a team player
    • Work well under deadlines
