    Overview

    Bowhead seeks an Enterprise Data System Solution Architect who will work as part of an Enterprise Data Management team tasked with the analysis of the U.S.

    Marine Corps Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (C3I) system portfolio to develop and consult in the implementation of an Enterprise Data Management Strategy, Roadmap, and in the modernization of related capabilities.


    Responsibilities

    • Captures and prioritizes environmental trends, technical strategies, and objectives, and identifies the benefits of alternative strategies.
    • Conducts investigative work to determine requirements and specify effective technical processes, through improvements in information systems, data management, practices, procedures, organization, and equipment.
    • Develops enterprise-wide architecture and processes which ensure that the strategic application of change is aligned with overall DoD and USMC data strategies.
    • Develops and presents business cases, for high-level initiatives, approval, funding, and prioritization.
    • Sets strategies, policies, standards, and practices to ensure compliance between DoD/USMC/Joint strategies, technology strategies, and enterprise transformation activities
    • Summarizes and presents the results of data analysis to a range of stakeholders, making recommendations.
    • Plan and organize multiple concurrent customer engagements.

    Qualifications

    • Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, software development, enterprise and/or data architectures AND a minimum of 15 years of experience as described above.
    • Analytical skills relating to enterprise data architectures and systems.
    • Knowledge of relational database management systems, data mesh/fabric implementations, and data storage.
    • Knowledge of analytical tools and evaluation techniques.
    • Experience and knowledge in mathematical reasoning.
    • Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
    • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing for required customer support and requirement gathering and validation.
    • Ability to receive and respond to instructions/assignments, must be able to read, write and speak English.

    SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED:
    Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
    • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
    • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
