    SummaryThe Security Operations Center (SOC) Supervisor will be responsible for the tactical and operational leadership of the Security Operations Center. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to managing the SOC team, training and development of the SOC team, overseeing SOC activities and operations, implementing security policies, and establishing performance goals. The SOC Supervisor ensures that all operations are conducted in line with established policy and procedure.The Security Operations Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The SOC Supervisor is expected to be available to work during the day, when operational activity is highest.The SOC Supervisor reports to the Physical Security Manager and serves as a member of the Security Operations Center team. This position supports the needs and activities of the company, managers/directors, and other personnel. The SOC Supervisor must also be able to maintain a friendly and helpful attitude while working with fellow employees, contractors, and clients.Provides Security Operations Center (SOC) Supervisor Support functions related to the activities and operations of Riot Platforms, Inc. in Corsicana, TX.
    Essential FunctionsThe primary responsibility of this position is to manage the SOC team, develop policies and procedures, and keep management informed about security operations.
    • Manage a team of leads and operators with carious skill sets that provide operations, maintenance, and service support of security operations across the enterprise.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless alignment of security strategies with business goals.
    • Provide leadership and mentorship to improve lead and operator skill sets and ensure delivery of high-quality work.
    • Ensure accountability and punctuality of SOC leads and operators.
    • Develop and maintain an incident response management program that includes incident detection, analysis, containment, eradication, recovery and chain of evidence / forensic artefacts required for additional investigations.
    • Investigate, document, and report on information security issues and emerging trends.
    • Lead the 24/7 operations of the SOC to ensure optimal identification/resolution of security incidents and enhance organizational security.
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for the organization regarding security concerns, ensuring that company requirements are understood and addressed effectively within the SOC framework.
    • Performs other related duties as required.

    Work Environment While performing the duties of the job, the employee is primarily in a office setting but may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Noise level is usually low to moderate.
    Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk but will be required to occasionally stand and walk in an office setting.
    • Squatting, bending, reaching above shoulder level, talk and hear.
    • The employee may be required to push or pull and lift up to 20 pounds.
    TravelLimited – occasional travel to Rockdale, TX and/or Austin, TX
    Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Bachelor's degree or Certification in IT, Cyber Security, Criminal Justice, or another related field preferred.
    • 5 years of experience in public emergency service field/agency (police, fire, ambulance dispatch), private security, armed forces, IT, or another related field preferred.

    • US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
    • Able to provide proof that you are eligible to work in the US.
    • Must have a valid driver's license or state ID.
    • Speak, read, and write English. (Spanish preferred)
    • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks simultaneously.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Work effectively with limited supervision.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
