Respiratory Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Columbia Memorial Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of respiratory care principles and procedures, as well as excellent patient care skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed initial and ongoing assessments of patient needs, including life-threatening emergencies
• Administer and evaluate respiratory care treatments
• Supervise others in the delivery of respiratory care
• Perform pulmonary and cardiac diagnostic procedures

Requirements:

• Current licensure with Oregon Health Authority (OHA)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) national advanced level credential
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
• Pulmonary Disease Educator course and/or Pulmonary Rehabilitation Certificate course completion preferred

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Previous satisfactory Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab experience or Respiratory Care experience relevant to the patient population

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced work environment with occasional exposure to infectious diseases
• Long shifts or occasional overtime necessary
• Lifts up to 50 lbs and pushes/pulls loaded adult stretchers, beds, wheelchairs, crash carts, and equipment carts

Sign-on Bonus:

A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available for applicants who have zero seniority at CMH and meet all other conditions for payment.
