    Description


    Member of Systems Capability Team Speed Modification Maneuvers, perform and participate in multifunctional software development including Decision making (Motion Planning), Perception, Mapping, Localization and System Learning and Update (SLU), Feature A/Wing and Control Vehicle Motion teams, to define Vehicle level longitudinal (speed modification-accelerating/braking) control systems capability development and performance for hands off autonomous driving.

    Review and analyze Solution Management team mission plans and decompose vehicle use cases to develop longitudinal control systems capability requirements such as changes in vehicle speed for signs, obstacles, traffic control devices, actors on the road, driver comfort.

    Define and break down vehicle level performance requirements for speed modification capability for assisted and automated driving into individual system level design requirements for Decision making, Perception, Mapping, Localization and SLU, Feature Moding, and Control Vehicle Motion systems, using Jama, IBM Rational DOORS and IBM Rational DOORS Next Generation (DNG) tools.

    Perform daytime in vehicle testing 1-2 days per week on public roads in Metropolitan Detroit area to evaluate subjective and objective performance of automated driving systems.
